After the interview questionnaire is complete and reviewed, Dr. Fujimoto and parents will discuss whether Cogmed Working Memory Training would benefit their child. After this discussion, parents who want to pursue training should take the following steps:
(STEP 1) -- Review the “Business” section of the web site, which discusses the
costs of the program and details of services included.
(STEP 2) -- Make sure your computer meets the technical requirements to run
the Cogmed Working Memory Training program. This can be done
by Cogmed’s Online computer test: click here
Since the program is Window’s based, Apple computers may need
to have “BootCamp” software installed to run the program. Computer
must have an Intel- based processor to install the “BootCamp” software.
(STEP 3) -- Review the “training check list” to make sure that all other necessary
equipment is available and to understand the necessary environment for
optimal training results: training check list click here
(STEP 4) -- If ready to proceed to the START UP SESSION at Dr. Fujimoto’s office,
contact Dr. Fujimoto to schedule this session. This must be made
directly with Dr. Fujimoto, since this will be after her usual appointment
hours and will take 1-2 hours. Email or page (522-4000).
(STEP 5) -- Start Up Sessions will often occur on Saturday afternoons.
$200 full payment will be required before the Start Up Session begins.
Cash, credit card, or check will be accepted.
(STEP 6) -- After the Start Up Session, if the family is ready to commit to the full
Cogmed Working Memory Training program,
$1300 full payment will be collected prior to starting the 5 week training program.
(STEP 7) – ID and password issued
Cogmed CD and packet to be given to family
(STEP 8)—Training begins!
